Meet Ben

A Practical Guy
With a Practical Plan

Ben Prescott has called Manchester home for more than 26 years, and he's running because he believes New Hampshire is standing at a crossroads.

As a lifelong Granite Stater, Ben’s roots run deep in our community. He is not part of any out-of-state movement or transplant activist group trying to reshape our towns to fit a rigid ideological agenda. Ben is an authentic, local voice who understands our community because he has lived, worked, and shared our traditional New Hampshire values from childhood.

By trade, Ben is a cybersecurity practitioner with 17 years of experience in the field. His career is built on defending complex systems, solving intricate problems, and always thinking several steps ahead. Ben believes that this data-driven, analytical mindset is exactly what Concord needs to address our state's challenges pragmatically, rather than getting bogged down in partisan talking points. Outside of work, he's an avid motorcyclist and a diehard New England sports fan. The kind of guy you'll run into around town, not just at campaign events.

Ben believes that building a thriving future for our state starts with a strong, accountable education system. He is fiercely committed to protecting our local public schools while expanding flexible learning choices for parents, ensuring every student has a pathway to success. For Ben, this isn't about partisan talking points, it's about making sure our kids receive a top-tier education and that every taxpayer dollar is used efficiently to maximize student achievement.

In Concord, Ben will bring data-driven problem solving and a transparent, common-sense approach to state government. He is ready to fight against outside agendas, protect your household wallet, keep our neighborhoods safe, and defend the true Granite State way of life.

The Prescott Agenda

Three Things.
Done Right.

Cost of Living

Energy, property taxes, and housing costs are crushing Granite State families. That's where the fight starts.

Education

Strong local schools and real opportunity for every Manchester student and family.

Infrastructure

A grid, roads, and housing stock that actually keep pace with a growing state.

Where Ben Stands

Momentum on the Issues That Hit Your Wallet & Family

No slogans. Specific problems, specific fixes — and a willingness to name who's causing them.

01

Energy Costs

Ben will support the expansion of nuclear energy in the state, specifically adding Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to Seabrook and elsewhere, which will add cheap, clean energy to the grid. Our electricity bills are soaring because an unelected, out-of-state bureaucracy in Massachusetts is forcing a flawed grid experiment on us. It has already cost our region an extra $921 million with zero added reliability. We can't easily leave the grid, so Ben will fight to force ISO-New England to reform their rules and stop fleecing New Hampshire families.

02

Housing Costs

Ben will work to cut the red tape and outdated zoning rules that block new housing construction in Manchester, giving builders a faster path to add starter homes and multi-family units the market actually needs. He will oppose any statewide income or sales tax scheme that threatens New Hampshire's tax advantage, while pushing to slow the growth of property tax bills that are pricing young families and retirees out of their homes. He will back state incentives that reward towns for streamlining local permitting, so Manchester can grow its housing stock without Concord overriding local control.

03

Safe Neighborhoods & a Secure Border

Committed to public safety. New Hampshire's reputation as one of the safest states in the country is worth defending. Ben believes in backing the law enforcement officers who keep crime out of our neighborhoods, holding repeat offenders accountable, and supporting a secure northern border so that what happens elsewhere doesn't become Manchester's problem.

04

Fiscal Responsibility & Accountability

Committed to responsible budgeting. Every dollar Concord spends comes out of a Granite Stater's paycheck. Ben supports disciplined, balanced budgets, transparent spending, and a state government that has to justify its costs the same way families and small businesses do — line by line, every single year.

05

Education

Strong Schools, Flexible Options. Ben believes that access to excellent education at all levels is vital not only for our children, but for the economic growth and future success of our state. Education is simply not "one size fits all." Because every student has unique needs, families deserve a system that adapts to them, not the other way around. Ben supports a value-for-money education system that ensures efficient funding for our local public schools while expanding flexible options for parents. Whether a family chooses public, private, charter, co-op, or home school, true excellence is achieved when parents have the freedom to select the path that fits their child best, ensuring every taxpayer dollar maximizes actual student achievement.

The New Hampshire Advantage

Protect It. Then Make It Stronger.

Ben's approach is straightforward: keep what works, and build on it. No income tax. No sales tax. Ever.

No Income Tax

The line doesn't move. Ben will oppose any statewide income tax scheme, full stop.

No Sales Tax

New Hampshire's competitive edge is built on it. It stays off the table.

High-Paying Jobs

Make the state even more attractive to industries that create good jobs and real revenue.

Property Tax Relief

New business tax revenue should go straight back to Granite Staters — as property tax relief.
